FATHERS THAT DIED BEFORE FATHER’S DAY 2026

Father’s Day 2026 will be missing several fathers due to death. Many dad’s died or were killed in Charlotte, NC prior to Father’s Day 2026. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Here is a list with attached articles of the many dads that died. A few of the fathers even were killed by a cocaine overdose in Charlotte. Some dads were killed in homicides, motorcycle accidents, and car crashes.

Tionte Morrison, 25, died on Mother’s Day May 10, 2026 in a double murder.

Samuel Lomax, 30, was shot and killed during a violent home invasion on June 14, 2026 at a residence on Hickory Grove Road Charlotte, NC.

Gary Tharrington, 34, was shot and killed by his step-son on June 8, 2026 in Durham, NC. Gary worked as a mechanic for years.

38-year-old Carlos Enrique Leon Aristoteles was found dead on June 3, 2026 on the Fred Stanback Ecological Preserve at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. Carlos was a father with 2 young kids.

Trey Crawford, 33, died on Memorial Day weekend 2026 in Charlotte, NC. Trey had two young kids. 

52-year-old Napoleon Isom was found deceased in Charlotte, NC on Memorial Day 2026 May 25th. Napoleon is the owner of Rio Ultra Lounge by North Lake Mall. Napoleon also owns Lulabelle’s Restaurant by North Lake Mall.

Demareo Whitley, 37, was murdered on May 15, 2026 in a double shooting on Weldon Avenue Charlotte, NC. Demareo had a young baby son.

Collin Trombley, 26, died at the Brunswick Beaches Campground on Koa Drive SW in Sunset Beach, NC from a fentanyl and clonazepam drug overdose. Collin had a history of heroin abuse. Collin leaves behind a young son.

43-year-old LaMar McNeil was murdered.

Sean Miller, 31, died in Concord, NC on March 26, 2026. Sean worked on cars and did handy man services but so many people said that he cheated them and would not return to do promised work. In fact Sean has been arrested 25 times, mostly for obtain property by false pretense.

On April 19, 2026 31-year-old Army vet Shamar Elkins murdered his 8 kids in Shreveport, Louisiana and a woman. 9 people total were killed in the nonuple murder. He was killed by cops.

Jonathan Monetti Reis, 35, was killed on April 4, 2026, during a fiery car collision on Yorkmont Rd. Charlotte, NC. Jonathan was from Florida but was in Charlotte visiting, he leaves behind wife and kids.

Donnell Dixson, 49, died on March 17, 2026 in a head on crash on Statesville Road Charlotte, NC.

Jorge Dorantes Carranza, 32, was murdered at Patio Nightclub on March 22, 2026 in Raleigh, NC during a double shooting. Jorge leaves behind a 13-year-old daughter.

Emmanuel McNair, 45, died on February 23, 2026 in Charlotte, NC. Emmanuel was a registered sex offender, and he had a son.

Joshua Scribben, 40, died on March 11, 2026 while kayaking in Lake Norman in Knox Creek Cove, NC. Joshua leaves behind a wife and kid.

42-year-old Tashaun Lockwood was killed in a car accident on Interstate 485 in Charlotte, NC while on his way to work on February 6, 2026. Tashaun worked at MRC Global, Inc.

Matthew Streat, 34, died on January 24, 2026 in Charlotte, NC. Matthew was having a tough time in life. He got in trouble a lot as he had 24 arrests over the years for various offenses.

Tre’shun Wynn, 30, was killed on February 27, 2026 during a head on car crash in Monroe, NC. Tre’shun played football at The University of North Carolina Charlotte. 

21-year-old Xeniel Baez on Druid Hills Way Charlotte, NC.

Fred Dunlap, 79, was killed by his own son in Charlotte, NC.

Bradley Reid, 37, died on February 10, 2026 after being shot at a car dealership on Atando Avenue Charlotte, NC. Bradley had 4 kids.

Socrates Gomez, 41, died on New Year’s Day 2026 January 1st at the Marriott Hotel located at 8540 Independence Blvd Charlotte, NC. Socrates had a wife and 3 kids.

Marcus Carter, 49, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Monday Feb. 16, 2026 on Lawyers Rd. and Split Oak Dr. Charlotte, NC.

Michael Presnell, 44, died in a crash that was on New Year’s Eve 2025 on Wilkinson Blvd.

Tajh Wimbush, 34, died a few days before Christmas on December 21, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. Tajh was a father and leaves behind 2 kids.

A deadly mixture of drugs killed Kenneth Lowe, 54, in Charlotte, NC.

James McIlwain, 39, was killed in Charlotte.

Albert Lowery, 44, was killed at a daycare in Charlotte, NC on North Sharon Amity Road.

Tre Tyson, 31, was murdered on December 17, 2025 on Trinity Road Charlotte, NC at a shopping center.

Demontez Brown died from cancer in Charlotte, NC. Demontez was a father to young daughters that are now adults.

Shuron McMiller, 47, died in Charlotte, NC. Shuron was a father and had extensive family and friends.

Navy Master-at-Arms 1st Class Jeffrey Diaz, 47, died on November 22, 2025 after trying to save his kids from drowning at a ocean in Hawaii.

40-year-old Calvin Costner was killed in a hit and run crash.

Derrick Baker, 22, was killed in a murder. Derrick just had a new born baby, making him a new father.

Jason Neal was killed at Coyote Joes on Wilkinson Blvd Charlotte, NC.

Brenton Samuels, 31, was murdered in a double shooting at an apartment complex on September 27, 2025.

A father with multiple kids identified as David Jackson, 35, died on September 26, 2025 in Charlotte, NC while in the back of a cramped up hot police car.

Deshawn Rogers, 47, died in Charlotte, NC from cancer.

Kenneth Lowe, 54, died on August 9, 2025, his nickname was Duke. Kenneth leaves behind a wife and several children.

David Smith, 62, was killed by drunk driver in crash.

Derrick Fitzgerald, 57, died from cocaine and fentanyl toxicity in Charlotte, NC. Derrick was a entertainer who singed and did tap dance. He sometimes performed with his daughter. Medical records show Derrick had diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and hypertension.

Damon Cotton, 34, died on his birthday on August 5, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. Damon’s mother died years ago when he was a teenager on December 29, 2010 just days after Christmas.

Anthony Pearson, 33, was killed at a cookout.

Atrayus Goode, 40, died from a Tylenol overdose.

Dontre Williams, 24, was killed at a convenience store on Milton Road Charlotte, NC.

Michael Reid, 45, was killed in a motorcycle crash.

Antonio Brown, 33, died in Charlotte, NC on Wallace Farm Lane.

Wilson Broadway, 38, and his 4-year-old son Ja’Miaz Broadway were killed in a fiery car crash on July 6, 2025 in Monroe, NC.

Jonathan Davis, 37, was killed on June 18, 2025 in a motorcycle crash on Albemarle Road Charlotte, NC. Jonathan leaves behind a wife and 5 children.

There were of course more fathers that died, but these were the ones that we got a hold of.
