Dad Marcus Carter leaves behind a wife and kids after he was killed on a Kawasaki motorcycle
Marcus Carter, 49, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Monday Feb. 16, 2026 on Lawyers Rd. and Split Oak Dr. Charlotte, NC.
At approximately 6:34 p.m., Marcus was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle at the intersection of Lawyers Rd when a Chevrolet truck was in front of him.
The truck slowed down to make a turn. Marcus then drove to the side and tried to get around the truck. As the truck was turning, Marcus collided with the truck from the side. Marcus was ejected from the motorcycle.
The driver of the truck was not charged with a crime. Marcus died on scene. Marcus leaves behind a wife and kids. Motorcycle deaths in Charlotte are on the rise.
The driver of the truck had no operator’s license and no insurance.
