On April 19, 2026 31-year-old Army vet Shamar Elkins murdered his 8 kids in Shreveport, Louisiana and a woman. 9 people total were killed in the nonuple murder. The dead children ranged in ages from 18 months to 13 years old. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Shamar likely had PTSD from being in the military. Shamar went ballistic and murdered his 8 children in the a.m. hours of Sunday. One of the kids tried to escape off the roof of the house, but was killed by Shamar.
Shamar then shot two women in the head, one of the women died. Shamar then fled the scene and carjacked a victim.
A high speed chase with police began. Shamar crashed and then got into a shootout with police. Shamar was shot dead by cops.
