Anthony was murdered a few weeks after his family member was murdered in Charlotte
Anthony Pearson, 33, and 23-year-old Justin Minnitee were killed in a double homicide on June 28, 2025 at a picnic in Atlanta, GA. Anthony was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Anthony’s family member Jerry Forney, 67, was murdered in Charlotte, NC just months before he was.
The Kappa fraternity was hosting a party style cookout at a park around 8 p.m. Justin is accused of coming to the party and shooting at several Kappa members and party goers.
Anthony was shot in the head. 2 women were shot age 20 and 30. Other Kappa fraternity members then shot back at Justin, killing him.
Anthony died at the scene. Justin was taken to the hospital where he later died. Anthony was a mentor for younger men. He had a daughter and was an alumni at Savannah State Alumni.
