Around 4 p.m. a dead body was near the parking lot and wooded area of the Cook Our Restaurant and Super 8 Motel. Cops roped off both businesses with crime scene tape, along with the Chicken Box restaurant too.
Someone found the victim dead and called police. Cops responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased on scene. It is unclear what happened, but this case is not classified as a homicide. Several people have been found dead on West Sugar Creek over the years.
In fact a woman was found dead at the Cook Out restaurant in 2024.
