LISTEN: 911 CALL RELEASED OF COOK OUT EMPLOYEE MURDERED ON THE JOB, MANAGER HIDING IN BATHROOM

A new 911 call of a Cookout employee being murdered on the job has just been released. Malek Crosby, 20, was arrested on March 17, 2024 accused of murdering his co-worker Jaselyn Horne, 26, on the job. Malek and Jaselyn are employees at the Cookout restaurant on Sunset Rd. Jaselyn and Malek were in a dispute at the Cook Out after their work shift on March 17th.

Malek is accused of then shooting Jaselyn, she died on the scene in the Cook Out parking lot at 5 a.m. Other Cook Out employees ran for cover.

One Cook Out employee called 911 and said Jaselyn had been shot. The caller then says he is hiding in the bathroom with his manager and other co-workers.

911 dispatchers send police to the scene. Cursing and yelling is then heard amongst Cook Out employees.

Malek was arrested and charged with murder.
