The victim was homeless and even spent some time in the Roof Above program that provides housing assistance
Timothy Brown, 34, was murdered at the Days Inn motel on Reagan Drive Charlotte, NC. Timothy was killed during a stabbing on December 10, 2025 in the Christmas holiday time. Timothy was indeed homeless. Christmas season homicides are vast in Charlotte.
Timothy was at the motel when he was stabbed to death in the afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Paramedics were called but Timothy died on the scene. A woman overdosed at the Mcdonald’s on West Sugar Creek right next door to the Days Inn motel where Timothy was murdered.
Timothy was in the Roof Above program, which helps people that are homeless obtain housing. The program also provides rent free temporary housing. Many former drug users join the program.
A number of homeless encounters have taken place in Charlotte.
