MOM LABELED AS HOMELESS GETS ARRESTED ACCUSED OF NOT SHOWING UP TO COURT, CHILD CUSTODY DISPUTE

Ashly Zelaya, 25, was arrested on November 17, 2024 in Charlotte, NC on a Governor’s Warrant. Charging documents identify her as homeless. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Ashly was ordered to show up to court due to a domestic violence dispute with her ex-boyfriend involving her 4 month old son. Ashly was accused of smashing out car windows during the altercation. The situation led to a child custody dispute with Ashly.

But court documents say Ashly never showed up to court, and as a result warrants for her arrest were issued. The situation was so complex that even Governor Roy Cooper signed a Governor’s Warrant for Ashly’s arrest.

But some where along the search for Ashly, it was determined that she was homeless, according to court documents.

Also due to Ashly not showing up for court, her bond was forfeited. Jail is nothing new for Ashly, as she has been arrested many times.

Ashly was finally tracked down and arrested she was charged with Governor’s Warrant and failure to appear.
