On October 9, 2023 a McDonald’s employee identified as Sam Ivey, 35, was accused of shooting and killing Jacklyn Reed, 30, inside of a McDonald’s restaurant in Hendersonville, NC.

Around 11 a.m. Jacklyn was at the restaurant and got into an argument with another female. A manager at Mcdonald’s separated the women and Jacklyn left.
Jacklyn returned to the restaurant, but the manager and Sam stopped her from coming any further into Mcdonald’s.

An argument began and Jacklyn lunged and touched Sam. In an act of self defense Sam took out a concealed gun from his waist line and shot Jacklyn in the chest once.

Jacklyn died on the scene. It is not known if Jacklyn punched Sam or if the contact from Jacklyn was in his face.
Sam left Mcdonald’s after the shooting and went to a nearby elementary school to see his son.

Cops learned the whereabouts of Sam and came to the school to arrest him.
Sam was charged with second degree murder.
