This cop got smoked on duty by her own co-worker, then her cop car caught fire on way to hospital, nearly BBQ-ing her
Officer Krystal Rivera, 36, of the Chicago Police Department was shot and killed on duty by another officer while chasing a suspect in Chicago, Illinois on June 5, 2025. the police vehicle that was being used to transport Rivera to the hospital had crashed and caught fire. Chicago is the most violent city in America.
Rivera and her partner were chasing a innocent person for no reason, assuming he had a gun. It is not unlawful to holster a gun. Cops harass people all the time and violate their constitutional rights.
The suspect ran into an apartment building, Rivera and her partner ran into the building after the suspect.
That is when another man came into the apartment hallway with a rifle, without thinking the cop on scene shot Officer Rivera. It is said that the shots fired were accidental.
Other cops were dispatched to the shooting. Officer Rivera was put into a police vehicle for transport to the hospital.
But on the way to the hospital, the cop car crashed and caught fire, almost barbecuing Officer Rivera to a crisp after she had already been shot.
Cops pulled Officer Rivera from the burning wrecked police vehicle and placed her into another. Officer Rivera died at the hospital.
As of yet, the officer that shot Rivera has not been disciplined or charged with a crime.
