A fight at the Mainstay South Extended Stay motel left a woman bruised
Matisha Wood, 39, was arrested on September 8, 2025 accused of assaulting her boyfriend George White, 53, at the Mainstay South Extended Stay motel located on West Park Dr Charlotte, NC. George was arrested too.

On August 29th George and Matisha were at the Mainstay South Extended Stay motel in a room. George and Matisha were dating.
George’s cellular phone broke and he purchased a replacement phone. George then messaged his actual wife to receive the activation code for the phone.
Matisha got mad and began throwing items at George, hitting him in the head with a liquor bottle. Matisha bit George on the arms. George is accused of punching Matisha in the face. Matisha retrieved a kitchen knife and began aggressing on George.
The two began wrestling over the knife. George was cut with the knife and had a deep laceration to his wrist. In an attempt to remove the knife, George slammed Matisha’s arm against a counter and struck her.
Police were called and George was located seated in the lobby with a white rag with blood stains wrapped
around his right wrist. Matisha had injuries to her face.
George and Matisha were arrested accused of domestic violence.
