Leetwain Tate, 48, was arrested on September 30, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. Leetwain is a school bus driver at Sugar Creek Charter School in Charlotte. Leetwain is a man, yet his street name was ‘Ms. Sharon’, and he wears a female wig. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
On September 16, 2025 officers responded to a call. Upon officers arrival on scene, they spoke to the mom of a victim who advised that her child was sexually assaulted.
It was reported that several underage teen boys had been staying with Leetwain and were allegedly talked into performing sexual acts on Leetwain at his residence.
During the investigation, a fact finding mission was conducted with several other victims who disclosed to being sexually abused allegedly by Leetwain.
Court documents say male victim 1 disclosed to having intercourse with Leetwain and Leetwain performing oral sexual acts on the victim.
Victim 2 disclosed to being made to expose his private areas to Leetwain, according to prosecutors. Victim 3 disclosed to having intercourse with Leetwain and being offered a lot of money to do it again, court records say.
According to court findings, victim 4 disclosed to Leetwain trying to touch his private area and putting his hands in his pants. The victims are between ages of 14-15.
Leetwain was fired by Sugar Creek Charter School on September 29, 2025 after the school learned of the allegations. Leetwain was then arrested accused of statutory rape, indecent liberties with a minor, and statutory sex offense.
