A teen at Rocky River High School was murdered while getting off the school bus, the school is high crime
On July 24, 2025 Viccardo Streater, 19, pleaded guilty to murdering Rocky River high School student Nahzir Taylor, 17, in Charlotte, NC. Earlier in 2025 Rodrizus Stafford also pleaded guilty to the murder. They all were students at the school. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Nahzir was murdered on December 2, 2022 after being shot while getting off the school bus on Lanza Drive Charlotte, NC. Earlier that day Nahzir and several other teens at Rocky River High got into a fight on school property.
Rodrizus and the other teens then plotted to murder Nahzir. The suspects drove in a car to Nahzir’s street address and waited for him to get off the school bus. In 2018 a student at Rocky River High was arrested accused of bringing a gun to school.
Once Nahzir exited the bus to go home, Rodrizus and Viccardo chased him on foot and shot at him.
Nahzir was shot multiple times and died on scene. The suspects drove off.
Rodrizus and Viccardo were arrested later charged with murder. Rodrizus and Viccardo both pled guilty to second degree murder.
