Nahzir Taylor was murdered after getting off the school bus, Rocky River High is a bad school
Rodrizus Stafford murdered his class mate Nahzir Taylor, 17, in Charlotte, NC. On May 8, 2025 the suspect pled guilty to murdering the teen over a fight at school. Both teens attended Rocky River High School. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Nahzir was murdered on December 2, 2022 after being shot while getting off the school bus on Lanza Drive Charlotte, NC. Earlier that day Nahzir and several other teens at Rocky River High got into a fight on school property.
Rodrizus and the other teens then plotted to murder Nahzir. The suspects drove in a car to Nahzir’s street address and waited for him to get off the school bus. In 2018 a student at Rocky River High was arrested accused of bringing a gun to school.
Once Nahzir exited the bus to go home, Rodrizus and the other suspects chased him on foot and shot at him.
Nahzir was shot multiple times and died on scene. The suspects drove off.
Rodrizus and the other minor aged suspects were arrested later charged with murder. Rodrizus was the only suspect to plead guilty to second degree murder. He was given 13 years in prison. The other suspects have yet to go to trial.
