The victim was the street version of a Micheal Jackson impersonator, he was killed on Beatties Ford Road
Luis Alberto Miranda Vilchis, 35, was arrested on October 1, 2025 after a hit and run crash killed James Hall, 58, on Beatties Ford Rd. Charlotte, NC. James was known to imitate pop star Micheal Jackson randomly on the street. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

On the night of October 1st James was walking across the street outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a Chevy SUV allegedly driven by Luis.
The SUV failed to stop and sped down the street. The crash knocked James up into the air 15 feet and sent him crashing on the asphalt. James was hit so hard that his shows came flying off.
Paramedics were called to the scene and took James to the hospital where he died. Later that night at 10:45 p.m., officers stopped the suspect vehicle on Hildebrand Street.
The suspect driver Luis spoke to officers and was arrested. Luis is charged with felony death by vehicle,
felony hit and run, no operator’s license, and improper registration.
