Nakisha Childers, 46, was thrown in jail arrested on a DWI charge on July 25, 2026. Nakisha is a nurse practitioner with a focus on pain medicine and infection. It appears she is a traveling nurse. Nakisha even has a master’s degree in nursing. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Nakisha was driving a BMW on Park Road in Charlotte when a cop flagged her allegedly speeding going 55 in a 35 mph zone. Upon approach the cop noticed Nakisha had red glassy eyes and an apparent odor of alcohol emitting from her breath.
Nakisha admitted to consuming wine. The cop told Nakisha to step out of the vehicle to perform drunk driving tests, to which she allegedly performed poorly. Breathlyzer tests were taken at the scene from Nakisha’s mouth. Nakisha was arrested charged with driving while impaired.
Of all places Nakisha was transported to Novant Hospital in uptown Charlotte for an implied consent blood draw. Nakisha is very familiar with Novant Hospital, as she has likely worked in that setting in the past caring for patients.
Nakisha signed a form stating that she understood and consented to the blood draw samples for her DWI arrest. The results of her breathalyzer and blood draw samples are in analysis.
Nakisha lives in a rather wealthy upscale residence.
