3 killed and 7 shot during In-N-Out Burger mass shooting, suspect had high powered AR15 rifle
24-year-old Chad Williams was the suspect in a mass shooting at the In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho on August 1, 2026. Ashley Garibay, 23, Cristopher Claunch, 59, and Dale Schultz, 66, were killed. Ashley worked at the In and Out Burger and was killed on the job.
Chad entered the parking lot of the In and Out burger and started shooting with an AR 15 rifle. Multiple people began screaming and running. 7 people were shot.
Ashley worked in the drive thru of the restaurant, she was shot and killed. Cristopher was a customer at In and Out Burger, he was shot and killed too. Dale was next door at a Tesla recharging station when he was hit by random gunfire from Chad and killed.
Chad was met with shots from a open gun carrying civilian and a off duty cop. The civilians both shot at Chad, but they missed. However, the civilians were able to make Chad run for cover, which likely saved more people from being shot.
Chad eventually killed himself on scene via a self inflicted gunshot wound.
Chad attended the College of Southern Idaho in 2022 and 2023 but did not graduate with a degree. Chad was also a senator in the college’s student government, but he was impeached from that role in February 2023 due to having poor attendance.
