A nurse was left bleeding with a cut on her face at Atrium Health Hospital
Orlando Burch, 20, was arrested on August 30, 2025 accused of assaulting a female nurse at Atrium Health Hospital located at 1000 Blythe Blvd. Charlotte, NC. Security at the hospital was assaulted too.
Nurse Christian was caring for Orlando due to his medical emergency. During care, Orlando arbitrarily started screaming, stood up, and allegedly threw his phone at the nurse, striking her in the forehead above her eye.
Orlando is also accused of lunging at the female nurse. Orlando subsequently fled the building when he was confronted by other hospital staff. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The nurse had a cut on her face and she was bleeding. Security officers at Atrium Health Hospital attempted to restrain Orlando, the suspect allegedly threw items at the security guards and punched them.
One of the guards even sustained a swollen wrist. The other guard was punched in the side of the head and had a visible bruise.
Cops arrived on scene and Orlando was arrested charged with assault emergency person.
