Just like a Jerry Springer show, a jail house brawl between jail employees led to stitches and blood for a supervisor, JERRY JERRY JERRY
LaKisha Easter, 54, works at the Mecklenburg County Jail as a fingerprint examiner inside the arrest processing center, she was accused of stabbing her supervisor Demetriss Smith-Wright five times on June 2, 2025 during a fight inside the jail. The jail is located on East 4th St. Charlotte, NC.

A dispute arose between Lakisha and Demetriss in the arrest processing area of the jail around noon on June 2nd. Lakisha produced a knife and allegedly stabbed her supervisor Demetriss multiple times. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Demetriss was stabbed five times on the shoulder and one time behind her ear on her head. The stabs resulted in serious injuries. Blood spilled out in the office area and hallways.
Lakisha was fired as a result of this incident. Lakisha was detained and sent to the interrogation room. Lakisha is accused of telling detectives that her goal was to prevent Demetriss from hurting anyone else on the job.
Lakisha was arrested charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or cause serious injury.
