A jail employee stabbed a co-worker at jail, under the terrible leadership of Garry Mcfadden
A fight between 2 employees at the Mecklenburg County Jail in uptown on East 4th Street Charlotte, NC occurred on June 2, 2025. The altercation involved one of the employees stabbing the other employee. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Around 12 noon a fight between 2 female jail employees occurred at the jail processing area or magistrate’s office after an argument. During the altercation one of the employees stabbed the other.

Blood was seen throughout the office, the stabbed female was badly injured. Police responded to a stabbing at the magistrate’s office after dispatch radio transmissions were made.

A large police presence was seen at the jail. An arrest is likely but nothing is known of filed charges right now.

There has been so much violence and stabbings at the jail under the inadequate leadership of Sheriff Garry Mcfadden.
A female jail guard was stabbed by an inmate.
3 jail detention officers were assaulted and one guard was stabbed during a fight.
A jail guard was cut in the head by an inmate.
55-year-old inmate Emerson Healy died at the Mecklenburg County Jail.
A Sergeant at the Mecklenburg County Jail was stabbed several times.
