Malcom Smith, 29, was arrested on May 29, 2025 charged with the homicide of Deeaudrey Copeland, 46, in Charlotte, NC.

Deeaudrey was murdered on Memorial Day weekend May 24, 2025. He was at a gas station in a vehicle on West Sugar Creek. A suspect shot Deeaudrey, Deeaudrey was able to drive away to North Graham Street. He then died from his injuries.

On May 29th investigators obtained warrants for Malcom’s arrest and charged him with murder. Deeaudrey was really tall and he worked security at various sweepstakes parlors and clubs.
