A female jail guard at the Mecklenburg County Jail in Charlotte, NC was stabbed by an inmate on June 25, 2021.
The female detention officer was stabbed by an inmate overnight during an altercation near a inmate’s cell.
The jail guard began bleeding after being stabbed and she required hospitalization. The victim was transported to the hospital and treated for her injuries.
The inmate has not been identified. A Sergeant at the Mecklenburg County Jail was stabbed in May 2020.
