ICE CONDUCTS RAID IN COURT AT MECKLENBURG COUNTY, 4 LATINO IMMIGRANTS ARRESTED

Elder Andrade Nascimento, 32, Gerson Molina, 46, Nestor Ponce Rivas, 32, and Alfredo Xocua-Xitlama, 26, were arrested by ICE immigration officials at the Mecklenburg County Court on February 24, 2026 in Charlotte, NC. ICE has been in Charlotte since November 2025 arresting people just for looking latino.

All of the latino suspects were illegal immigrants and were in court for separate criminal offenses. ICE officers got information that the suspects would be in court. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram.

Several ICE officers went to the Mecklenburg County Court and spotted the suspects. ICE then arrested all of them. The attorneys of the suspects were yelling and pleading for ICE to stop. ICE officers even threatened to arrest the attorneys for interfering with an investigation.

The suspects were arrested and handcuffed in court and then walked out into waiting ICE vans. The suspects were taken to an ICE facility. Donald Trump ordered the Department of Homeland Security to arrest illegal immigrants at court buildings across America.

President Joe Biden prevented ICE from arresting illegal immigrants at court. Yet many latino people overwhelmingly voted for Trump in the 2024 election, and now the latinos complain that their friends and family members are being deported.

Videos show ICE and Border Patrol did repeated raids in November 2025 in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Many latino people were discriminated against, as ICE agents approached them with intentions to detain them just for looking latino.
