STK has created quite the presence in Charlotte selling high priced steak and lobster, but many people have complained about the food and service. There was a lack of employee health knowledge policy and procedures and improper hand washing procedures during a recent food safety inspection.
An employee was seen touching their face and then transitioning into handling clean utensils at the dish pit without washing hands or changing gloves.

Raw shelled eggs, salmon, and tuna were stored over pre-cooked foods and ready to eat dressings. That storage order can cause cross contamination and food borne illnesses.

French fries, lobster bisque, and chicken were hot holding at unsafe temperatures below 135 degrees.
Blanched asparagus and potatoes were being cold held at temperatures above the 41 degree safety threshold.

The garlic oil, roasted garlic, and confeit garlic were expired and had to be discarded. Metal food containers were wet stacked on top of each other. Wet stacking can cause mildew and mold. A water leak was at the prep sink and the mop sink fixtures.
