Pasadena Police Department Officer Roy Alatorre is seen on video shooting his co-worker police officer at the police headquarters parking garage in Pasadena, CA.
The video was released in June 2026. The shooting was in September 2025. A patrol car is seen in the police parking garage driving up into a parking spot.
A officer then points his gun at Officer Alatorre in an attempt to act out a inside joke between the two cops. It was then that Officer Alatorre pulled out his gun and pointed it at the officer. The cops were essentially playing with guns on duty.
The gun went off and the officer standing up was shot in the shoulder. The cop clinched in pain and fell to the ground. Other cops came to the shot cop’s aid.
The shot cop was hospitalized. Officer Alatorre was fired after the shooting. The officer who was shot has recovered and remains employed with the Pasadena Police Department.
