7 Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department officers sent racist texts to each other about black people and competed on who could pull over, arrest, and shoot the most black people for no reason in Charlotte, NC. The cops called black people niggers in the texts. The police officers are identified as Mateo Juarez, 26, Joseph Kelly, 29, Alexander Larsen, 26, Tredan Maronic, 24, Matthew Osborn, 31, Jeremiah Todman, 25, and Seth Elliott, 25. As of now Seth is the only officer that has been arrested so far in the investigation. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department is deleting evidence from their website. Charlotte Alerts News dug up what the police department tried to delete and hide on their website. The deleted evidence is marked in red within this article. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department officers seen above were all in a racist group chat discovered in October 2026 calling black people niggers. It should be to no surprise that terrible Sheriff Garry Mcfadden called his own employees nigger and cracker on video.
In September 2026 The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department racially profiled and unlawfully shot and killed Curtis Massey, 47. CMPD Chief Estella Patterson got on TV and acted as if the officer that killed Curtis did not do anything wrong by unlawfully approaching and detaining Curtis just for standing and talking to black people in a high crime area.
For years Charlotte Alerts News has been warning about the racism and unconstitutional searches and arrests by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. Several people of color have been gunned down and killed by police at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. Multiple victims pictured below have been killed at the hands of CMPD officers.
The whole time all of the unlawful policies and actions by the police department were going on, several officers were in a racist text message group calling black people niggers and competing on who could shoot the most black people, arrest the most black people, and pull over the most black people. CMPD has policies that are that of stop and frisk, hence CMPD cops will stop and search you for no reason at all, and if you refuse they will arrest you. Complaints made to the internal affairs department will find no wrong doing amongst the police involved in the unlawful search and arrest. All of that violates the 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution on unlawful search and seizure.
CMPD cops will arrest citizens for merely video recording cops. Video recording and picture taking of cops is a First Amendment Right on the U.S. Constitution of Freedom of Press and Speech. If cops find drugs during a unlawful search, they call it fruit from the forbidden tree.
The racist text messages came to light after Officer Seth Elliot was arrested by the SBI for allegedly using CJ Leads and Flock cameras to tell a drug dealer about an undercover police investigation.
The CMPD was alerted by the SBI about racial text messages between Mateo, Joseph, Alexander, Tredan, Matthew, Jeremiah, and Seth.
An investigation was conducted and the cops were fired. Some of them resigned before they could be fired. Cops behave very badly and do not follow the U.S. Constitution at all, especially the 4th Amendment of protection against illegal search and seizure.
In fact Major Stephen Iyevbele of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department had to fire a CMPD cop in 2026 for disrespecting citizens and making unlawful searches. Major Iyevbele is not a suspect in the racist texts.
DELETED EVIDENCE
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department deleted evidence from their website regarding the officers involved in the racists texts, but Charlotte Alerts News recovered the web pages that the police department deleted from the Charlotte police jobs dot org website, specifically about Jeremiah Todman.
Officer Todman is from New York and played football at Lansingburgh High School as a linebacker. Officer Todman was the president of the CMPD police Recruit Class 193. Cops deleted that from their website but Charlotte Alerts News recovered it. The screenshot is below.
In the most damning evidence that the police department deleted from its website, Officer Todman brags about serving the community and showing the human side of the badge. How human was officer Todman when he participated in those racist text messages about the black community?
Also Officer Todman said in an police interview that he use to be a hotel manager. The police department tried to delete that from their website too, but we also recovered that, as seen below.
Then Officer Todman talked about how he was thrown into the fire on his first night as a cop in the University City division. Police deleted that from their website, and we recovered it below.

In a deleted post, Officer Todman said he still hangs out with cops from his recruit class. He probably hangs out with the racist unconstitutional cops just like him.
On the police website Officer Todman said he likes to eat at Leroy Fox Kitchen & Cocktails, Trolley Barn, and Optimist Hall.
The only thing that police take seriously are riots and lawsuits. Their unconstitutional policies will not change until people take action. The U.S. Constitution is a joke to police, and that is evident within police with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department because many of the police officers do not even know the U.S. constitution.
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Chief Estella Patterson says that there have been no instances that the racists officers violated the civil rights or constitutional rights of people over the time they were cops. There is no way that is true. These cops likely violated many rights of people.
