New video shows how Russell Fincham, 25, died at the Mecklenburg County Jail on 801 East Fourth Street Charlotte, NC. Russell died from a fentanyl overdose inside the jail. The inmate was vomiting on the floor in front of the jail guard, the guard walked away. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Russell was an inmate at the jail and died on July 6, 2022. Russell had a massive drug addiction problem, his mother even admitted that Russell would beak into cars to steal cash to get drugs.

Russell was arrested on July 3rd for breaking in cars. Russell had fentanyl that was ingested in his body either in jail or outside of jail. Russell got sick and was sent to the infirmary.

While in his jail cell Russell began to vomit on the floor, the vomit was black in color and signified it was mixed with blood. The jail guard saw Russell vomiting and walked away ignoring Russell.
After an extended period of time the jail guard finally decides to call in medic staff. A jail nurse attempts to treat Russell but was unsuccessful. More paramedics arrive, but Russell dies in the jail, he did not get help in time due to incompetent jail staff. It took 70 minutes for Russell to get medical attention from the time he was seen vomiting blood.
Russell’s cause of death was a fentanyl overdose. Sheriff Garry Mcfadden is known to make excuses for the 22 plus jail deaths that have occurred under his failed racist leadership as sheriff.
Mcfadden constantly says the jail deaths are not his fault or the jail’s fault, deflecting blame. Even during a state senate hearing, Mcfadden said inmates coming to the jail sick is the reason for the jail deaths. Garry Mcfadden is a racist sheriff, he was heard on video calling his own employees nigger and cracker.
The lack of jail staff supervision and bad sheriff management are the reasons for the jail deaths.

Even a court order was filed to kick Sheriff Garry Mcfadden out of office.
Russell’s family is now rightfully suing the Mecklenburg County Jail, Garry Mcfadden, and Mecklenburg County for wrongful death.
