Dwanneich Hammonds, 45, was murdered in a shooting on October 13, 2025 in the parking deck of the Hazel South Park Apartments on Barclay Downs Drive Charlotte, NC. Dwanneich was on her way to the gym when at 7 a.m. she was ambushed and murdered in the Hazel South Park Apartments parking deck.
A suspect ran up to Dwanneich and shot her dead. The suspect ran off. Other wealthy residents heard the shots and ran to Dwanneich’s aid, but she still died on scene.
South Park is the wealthy area of Charlotte, high net worth people live there, as the steak restaurants in the area are expensive. Once news got to Dwanneich’s kids of her death, they were crying and devastated.
