On February 11, 2023 a hit and run wreck occurred at an intersection in Seal Beach, California. The wreck left 5 teenage ballerina dancers seriously injured and knocked unconscious. The driver fled the scene.
The dancers were on the way to dinner after competing in a dance competition. The time was around 7 p.m. when a Mercedes Benz vehicle came speeding through an intersection, running a red light.
The Mercedes hit the victim vehicle from the side at a high rate of speed. The 5 girls were immediately knocked unconscious from the force and power of the crash.
The driver of the Mercedes Benz then fled on foot and has not been arrested. Several near bystanders ran to the scene to help the 5 girls. Emergency officials soon arrived on scene.
The 5 ballet dancers were seriously injured from the crash. Several of them remain in the hospital undergoing treatment and surgeries.
