The Thai House III Restaurant scored a dismal 77 C on an December 20, 2022 food health inspection. The restaurant is located at 230 East W.T. Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC.
Lets talk about the roaches and mice first. During the inspection a roach was in the kitchen area crawling around. There were many dead roaches in the kitchen area. The inspector observed evidence of mice presence within the restaurant.

Mice defecation was found on the floors. Rodent defecation was also on the top of lids of sugar, salt and other products.
The inspector saw gaps and holes in the walls and ceiling, which creates an entry for rodents and insects.
In fact the pest control company’s report stated that 3 dead mice were removed from the restaurant. Rodent droppings were on top of food items, equipment, storage and flooring.
Various meats in the prep top unit were over stacked and cross contaminating one another. The cross contamination was found between the raw shrimp, chicken, and beef.
Food was stored on heavily soiled floors. There was also food stored on the floors of the walk-in cooler.
The inspector observed food items in prep tops heavily over stacked and touching heavily soiled and contaminated parts of the unit. The food had to be thrown away.
Raw meat was stored with lettuce and raw shrimp was stored on carrots. The inspector had the food discarded.
The meat grinder was dirty and in need of cleaning. Tomatoes, beef, pork, tofu, and beef were all cold holding at unsafe temperatures above 41F. The inspector had the food thrown away.
Utensils, containers, bowls, cups, and equipment were in contact with dirty surfaces.
There was a leak at the back door. Water damage was on the ceiling tile.
