Dodge Chargers are fast, Dymond Monroe is accused of using a slow Honda Civic to race with a Dodge Charger, she crashed out and 3 football players were killed
Three E.E. Smith High School football players were killed in a big car accident on October 8, 2025 in Fayetteville, NC. The driver Dymond Monroe, 21, is accused of racing with a Dodge Charger and causing the fatal crash. Dymond is in the military too. Trevor Merritt, 17, Jaihyon Elliott, and Nick Williams are the football players killed in the crash. Dymond now faces manslaughter charges. Dodge Chargers are known for speed.

Dymond was driving a Honda Civic, but she was allegedly racing with a Dodge Charger beside her on city streets. Dodge Chargers are very fast cars along with Hellcats.

If and when Dymond is released from the hospital, she will be charged with speed competition, reckless driving, and 3 counts of manslaughter. Jaihyon and Nick wore numbers 21 and 14. Trevor wore number 11.
Trevor was in and out of Charlotte often, he had many family members in Charlotte. His father Lamar Merritt was a football star at the #1 football team in the nation Independence High School in the early 2000’s.
Trevor was a senior and was just weeks away from his 18th birthday. The driver of the Dodge charger is still being sought.
