A Charlotte football coach was arrested, accused of shooting at people
A Ballantyne Ridge High School coach was arrested as a suspect in a shooting. The coach is 27-year-old Dia’Mond Johnson, he was arrested on October 22, 2025. The shooting was in Charlotte, NC but Dia’mond was arrested in Clover, SC.

Dia’mond was a football coach at Ballantyne Ridge High School. He is accused of shooting into someone’s home in Charlotte.
Dia’mond was arrested in South Carolina and he is currently awaiting extradition to Mecklenburg County.
Officials say the incident did not occur on school property and did not involve any students, teachers, or school facilities.
Ballantyne Ridge High School principal Michael Miliote sent a message to student families saying,
“Diamond was a volunteer football coach and he will not be allowed to volunteer an any schools in CMS anymore”
The suspect faces two counts of shooting into occupied property.
