In September 2026 Xaveon Dunn, 28, was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences after a jury found him guilty of the October 2020 double murder that killed 26-year-old Dondrake Blackmoore and 27-year-old Jakailah Jackson in front of their 3-year-old child. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Dondrake beeped the horn and Xaveon pulled out a gun and shot at the victims in a road rage dispute. Dondrake was shot and then crashed out. Jakailah was shot also. Both victims died on scene in front of their child. The child was not shot or hurt.
Xaveon was arrested charged with double murder. A man identified as Jamaal Porterfield was arrested accused of accessory after the fact for helping Dondrake hide from police.
Jamaal pled guilty and was given a suspended jail sentence. In 2026 Xaveon was convicted of the murders and ordered to serve 2 life sentences.
