2 people were shot on I-485 and are now in critical condition, the suspect cried during arrest
Anil Dabydeen, 39, was arrested on January 8, 2025 accused of shooting 2 people on I-485 in Charlotte, NC during a road rage encounter.
The shooting was on January 8, 2025 at 4 p.m. on the South Tryon St. exit ramp on Interstate 485. Anil is accused of having a road rage breakdown and shooting at 2 people. The victims were in a Dodge Charger vehicle. Both victims were shot. Paramedics were called, but Anil drove off.
A double homicide occurred in a Dodge Charger, a teen girl was among the dead
After getting a suspect description, Anil was pursued by cops in a short chase that went through a residential neighborhood.
Anil was arrested. During the arrest Anil was seen crying while in handcuffs. Anil was charged with 2 counts of assault with a deadly weapon, discharging gun in property, reckless driving, and going armed to terror of people.
