On May 14, 2023 Arianna Davis, 10, was murdered on Mother’s Day in Washington, D.C.
Little Arianna was riding in the car with her family when a shootout began outside of their vehicle on city streets. The family inadvertently rode through the shooting and Arianna was shot in the upper body while she was in the backseat.
Over 50 shots were fired. Arianna’s family rushed her to the hospital, where she died during emergency surgery. Police believe the family was not the intended target of the shooting and that they were innocent victims.
