Matthew Whitstyne, 43, was arrested on December 27, 2023 charged with the murder of Rickie Burris, 64, in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Rickie was shot and killed at apartments on Snow Lane on December 3, 2023.
At 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting. Rickie was shot at the apartments. Paramedics arrived on scene and Rickie was pronounced deceased.
It is not clear if Rickie was in an apartment unit or the parking lot of the complex. Matthew was arrested on December 27th charged with Rickie’s murder.
The apartments on Snow Lane are known for homicides.
Shakier Henderson, 21, was shot and killed at the Heritage Park Apartment complex on Snow Lane.

A homicide occured at the intersection of Snow Lane and Idlewild Road.
