SUSPECT ACCUSED OF MURDERING OLD MAN AT CHARLOTTE APARTMENTS

Matthew Whitstyne, 43, was arrested on December 27, 2023 charged with the murder of Rickie Burris, 64, in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Rickie was shot and killed at apartments on Snow Lane on December 3, 2023.

At 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting. Rickie was shot at the apartments. Paramedics arrived on scene and Rickie was pronounced deceased.

It is not clear if Rickie was in an apartment unit or the parking lot of the complex. Matthew was arrested on December 27th charged with Rickie’s murder.

The apartments on Snow Lane are known for homicides.

Antonio Collins, 21, was charged with the murder of 21-year-old Shakier Henderson on Snow Lane.
