Maria was driving a Chrysler 300 with a blood alcohol content of 0.24, on the way to pickup her kids
Graham Myers, 50, was killed on May 7, 2025 in a I-77 highway crash in Charlotte, NC. Maria Leonard, 32, is charged with killing Graham during the drunk driving collision. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram.
Maria was driving a Chrysler 300 vehicle on Interstate 77 near the Tyvola Road exit. Graham was riding a motorcycle when Maria ran into the back of him, Graham then collided in the rear of an 18-wheeler truck, his body was smashed and he died instantly.
Maria had a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath, red eyes, slurred speech, and she could not walk steady.
Maria had a 0.24 blood alcohol content during an Intoxilyzer examination. Maria also performed terribly on field sobriety tests such as the walk and turn, one leg up, and eye test. Maria said that she was on the way to get her kids after a night out of drinking.
Maria was arrested charged with DWI, felony death by vehicle, reckless driving, and assault with a deadly weapon.
Graham worked at Golden Corral restaurant, he was active in church and his father was a preacher. Graham leaves behind a wife and several kids.
