On May 6, 2022 Natasha Berry, 38, was shot and killed at a Chili’s restaurant in Rocky Mount, NC. Nytica Battle, 25, is charged with the murder.
Natasha was inside the Chili’s with friends enjoying a meal at 7 p.m. Nytica is accused of entering the restaurant and shooting Natasha. Customers began to run in the kitchen for cover; others ducked under their tables.
A teenage Chili’s employee was also shot. Natasha was rushed to the hospital by paramedics where she died. Natasha and Nytica knew each other.
Nytica was arrested and charged with first degree murder and going armed to the terror of the public.
The teenager was hospitalized and is expected to be okay.
