WOMAN KILLED IN HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT NEAR I-77

Olivia Kowalski, 26, was killed on Saturday, March 4, 2023 on Nations Ford Road Charlotte, NC during a hit and run crash.

At 9:46 p.m., Olivia was crossing Nations Ford Road when an SUV struck her head on. The driver of the SUV fled the crash scene and drove onto I-77 North. Detectives located video of the crash and are working to identify the vehicle and its driver.

Police officers located Olivia lying in the roadway with severe injuries and bleeding. Olivia was pronounced deceased on scene by emergency personnel.

The driver of the SUV still has not been arrested.
