Video displays the moments Juan Valdez, 40, was shot by cops during a domestic violence situation. Juan is seen on video attempting to car jack a vehicle on the highway in Lathrop, California.
The situation occurred on January 27, 2024. Juan was in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. She accused Juan of trying to kill her.
Cops were called and Juan led cops on a chase. The chase went on to Interstate 5 where Juan encountered a flat tire.
Juan abandoned the vehicle and tried to carjack a vehicle. Juan is seen hanging onto the victim’s vehicle as it speeds down the highway.
The victim vehicle decides to stop, and Juan lets go and runs to the passenger’s side in another carjacking attempt.
Cops then shoot Juan twice. Juan was taken to the hospital. Juan was later released from the hospital and then arrested charged with carjacking, false imprisonment and resisting arrest.
Juan remains at the San Joaquin County Jail.
