Watch as a man with gun is shot inside a Jack In The Box restaurant
Newly released video shows the moments 34-year-old Albert Cota was shot by police at a Jack in The Box restaurant in Los Angeles. Albert was shot by cops from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The shooting was on December 21, 2025 deputies responded to Workman Mill Road regarding a call of a business disturbance and possible mentally ill person.
Information provided in the call indicated a Hispanic homeless male transient had entered the employee service area of the Jack In The Box restaurant and refused to leave.
The male was later identified as Albert Cota. Deputies arrived on scene and observed Cota standing in the doorway of the entrance. As deputies approached, Cota retreated farther into the business near
the service counter area.
Cota pulled a handgun from his jacket pocket and pointed it at deputies. The cops shot Cota multiple times and fell to the ground.
Cota was subsequently transported to a local hospital where he received medical treatment.
No deputies or other persons were injured during this incident. One air gun pistol with the inscription “Glock 17,” containing one loaded magazine with 9mm cartridges was recovered at the scene.
