New video shows the moments Kevin Boston, 45, was shot and killed by police in Charlotte, NC by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Kevin was accused of robbing a Food Lion grocery store on Tuckaseegee Road Charlotte, NC. Kevin had 3 kids and fell on hard times, he was accused of stealing groceries and then brandishing a gun to Food Lion management when confronted. Kevin’s food stamps had ran out.

Kevin was killed on June 26, 2022. This footage was court ordered for release following a news petition.
Shortly before 1 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery call at the Food Lion regarding a suspect stealing groceries. The suspect identified as Kevin brandished a firearm during the incident.
Officers encountered Kevin nearby on Tuckaseegee Road, based on the description of the suspect and items noted on the call.
When officers approached Kevin he dropped his groceries and allegedly pulled out a firearm.
Officers took cover and gave commands for him to drop the weapon. Kevin continued to walk down the street allegedly with the gun in his hand. Officers perceived an imminent deadly threat and discharged their service weapons, shooting Kevin.
Kevin was not facing cops when they shot him, and Kevin did not shoot first. As usual, cops were dishonest and originally said that Kevin shot first.

Kevin was struck by the gunfire. Cops say Kevin also fired at officers, and several of his rounds struck police patrol vehicles.
Kevin was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations (NCSBI) conducted the criminal investigation into this officer-involved shooting. The CMPD Internal Affairs Bureau conducted a separate but parallel investigation and determined the officers did not violate any CMPD policies.
The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office also reviewed the case and has issued a letter explaining that they will not prosecute officers involved in this shooting.
