Kyle Kubiak was killed in a hit and run crash, the collision knocked off his leg on Woodlawn Rd. The crash rolled a car upside down
On Sept. 2, 2026 Kyle Kubiak, 34, was killed in a hit and run collision on East Woodlawn Road Charlotte, NC. Jared Rodriguez, 22, was arrested charged in the hit and run crash. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Rodriguez was driving a Honda on East Woodlawn Road near Nations Crossing Drive when he struck Mr. Kubiak, who was attempting to cross the roadway. Mr. Rodriguez failed to stop and continued east on East Woodlawn Road.
He then ran a red light at East Woodlawn Road and Old Pineville Road and was struck by a white Toyota Corolla. The second collision caused the vehicle to launch upside down.
Kubiak was pronounced deceased at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. Kubiak’s leg was knocked off due to the collision, a white sheet was placed over his body.
Mr. Rodriguez was then arrested charged with felony death by vehicle, felony hit and run, and reckless driving.
