The suspect vomited and had facial bruises after a DWI head on crash at Nations Ford Road
29-year-old Luisa Castrillon Araque was arrested on December 3, 2024 accused of DWI and serious injury/death by motor vehicle. Luisa was involved in a drunk driving crash in Charlotte, NC.
Luisa was driving a vehicle on Nations Ford Rd. at the I-485 overpass when she crossed into oncoming traffic and caused a head on crash. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The collision caused Luisa to be pinned in her vehicle and knocked unconscious, she had to be extracted from the car by fire fighters. She also had extensive bruising on her face from the crash.
The driver of the victim vehicle was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Luisa was unable to perform standard field sobriety tests. Luisa admitted to drinking Modelo beers at a restaurant.

The victim remains in critical condition and was rushed to surgery with abdominal bleeding. The crash caused the victim to miss teeth. Also the victim sustained a significant leg injury.
