In June 2026 Emanuel Isaac Parada, 21, plead guilty to murder after Ja’Kez Kyiesh Johnson, 19, was killed in a shooting in Charlotte, NC.
Ja’kez was murdered during a shooting on Curtiswood Drive Charlotte, NC in July 2023.
Emanuel and a 15-year-old minor were arrested in the case. At the trial in 2026 Emanuel pled guilty to 2nd degree murder and was given 157-201 months in prison. It is unclear if the minor will plead guilty.
