SUSPECT ACCUSED OF KILLING PARKING ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEE PUTTING BOOT ON CAR

Marquell Pettiford, 28, was arrested on December 13, 2024 accused of murdering  parking lot enforcement employee Anthony Zellars, 29, in Charlotte, NC. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram.

Anthony was shot and killed in a homicide on November 19, 2024 at an apartment complex on West Arrowhead Road.

Anthony worked for Lot Management Solutions as a parking lot manager. At 10:45 a.m., Anthony saw a vehicle in violation of parking and he put a boot on the car.

A suspect driving the vehicle then shot Anthony dead. The suspect fled. Paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Marquell was arrested after a near month long investigation. Marquell is charged with murder.
