The expensive fast Camaro lost control and hit a tree, killing the driver
On December 8, 2024 Yeferson Orozco Velasquez, 21, was killed in a car accident that occurred on North Sharon Amity Road Charlotte, NC. Yeferson was driving a Chevrolet Camaro.
At 3:08 a.m., officers responded to a vehicle crash with injuries on North Sharon Amity Road.
Upon arrival, officers located a Chevrolet Camaro and its operator Yeferson who had collided with a nearby tree. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced Velasquez deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The preliminary investigation indicated that Velasquez was driving northbound at a high rate of speed when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree in the center median.
Velasquez was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Speed was a factor in the crash. It is unknown if impairment was also a factor in the crash.
