A shooting occurred at the Walmart on North Tryon St. Charlotte, NC. Many complain about the customer service and rowdy customer base at this Walmart. Jarius Hicks, 26, is accused of shooting at a latino man at the Walmart. Jarius was arrested on August 21, 2025.

The shooting was in May 2025. A latino man was driving in the parking lot of the Walmart while Jarius was backing out in a BMW.
A dispute arose and the latino man stupidly got out of the car and confronted Jarius. The suspect is accused of shooting into the vehicle of the latino man.

Cops used the NC DMV License & Theft Bureau Facial Recognition system to analyze the face of the suspect. 3 months after the shooting Jarius was arrested charged with discharging a weapon.
