Historically black college NCCU is so strict that female students cant even spend the night in the Chidley Hall male dormitory. Yet most PWI universities allow 24 hour overnight visitation for freshmen
Alan Webster, 19, is a track student athlete at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. Alan was arrested in April 2026 accused of raping fellow track team runner Noni Wise. Alan is a sophomore at the school while Noni is a freshman. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Noni has a history of running the 100 meter dash in track. Alan is accused of raping Noni in January 2026. However Noni did not report the rape until March 23, 2026 it is not known why Noni waited so long to report the alleged rape.
After a investigation Alan was arrested charged with second degree forcible rape. Alan’s defense attorney told the court that the sex between Nomi and Alan was consensual.
Alan was given a bond of $300,000, and was placed under house arrest. Alan was kicked off the NCCU track team after his arrest.

It appears this black college NCCU has very strict visitation policies for the opposite sex. Chidley Hall is the main male dormitory at NCCU for freshman; that dorm and perhaps other dorms too can only have opposite sex visitation for certain hours during the day.

Overnight stays for freshman of the opposite sex are not allowed. But at many predominantly white institutions overnight 24 hour visitation of the opposite sex or same sex is allowed usually with a cap of 3 days in a row.
Students in college should be able to enjoy freedom without annoying visitation restrictions that are limited to only a certain amount of hours in a day. Some students at NCCU have said that the visitation hours feel like they are in prison.
We did some research and discovered that the visitation hours at some NCCU dorms years ago were only from 7pm to 10pm daily and required the guests to sign in the front dorm office.
